Hand carved Welsh slate war memorial plaque

Martin Cook has recently designed and made this hand carved Welsh slate war memorial plaque.

This hand carved Welsh slate war memorial plaque is to celebrate the soldiers of Martin’s old school, Merchant Taylors.

Martin designs each piece of work individually, working at the drawing board, drawing with a pencil. No computer work is involved in the production of Martin Cook’s hand carved pieces.  The design is then hand carved in the traditional method with hammer and chisel.

Martin’s beautifully hand carved pieces can be seen all around the World from Thailand, USA, throughout Europe and England.  Martin’s carvings and designs include  The British Museum, The Bali Bomb memorial, The National Arboretum and Savill Gardens.
