This hand carved lettering can be seen at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.  The lettering has been intricately carved into the oak using the traditional method of hammer and chisel.

Although the majority of Martin’s work, both architectural and private commission, is carved into natural British stone such as Welsh slate, Cumbrian slate, Portland stone and Celtic Limestone, his wood carving  is highly regarded.
