Martin Cook is currently working on a hand carved Portland stone artwork showing the Buddha sitting under the Bohdi tree. The tree and the meditating figure of Buddha are relief carved in a panel of Portland stone. In contrast song lyrics will be hand carved into the Portland stone around the Buddha. This is a dramatic piece to be installed in to a kitchen which will be lit from above.
The intricate hand carving of each leaf and detail is taking months to complete. The hand carved Portland stone artwork by Martin Cook will make an striking and dramatic statement once installed.
