This Portland stone sundial is a copy of an original that was stolen from
walls of a cottage close to Hampton Court. Martin met the clients at
Hampton Court Flower Show where they commissioned him to make the
dial. It was made by hand with hammer and chisel in the traditional way.
It was then coloured and gilded to match the original sundial.
All Martin Cooks work is hand made and the original drawings and design
are produced at the drawing board and drawin with pencil. Each letter is
drawn free hand. No computers are involved.
