Martin Cook was commissioned by Sir Norman Foster to design and hand carve the lettering in The Great Court of The British Museum in 2000

The large scale lettering was drawing onto the walls and then carved with hammer

and chisel in the traditional way.  The project was completed on time and took over

five months to complete.
