Welsh slate monolith for Savill Garden by Martin Cook

This hand carved Welsh slate monolith standing stone has been privately commissioned to mark the completion of the planting of The Queens rose garden at Savill Garden.  The work is carried out at Martin Cook’s Buckinghamshire studio where be produces garden carving made from natural British stone and oak.  All his pieces are carved with hammer and chisel in the traditional method.
