There has been a lot of interest in this Portland stone standing stone displayed at Chelsea Flower Show. As requested I have some more information. The piece is approximately 7′ 6″ tall x 8″ x 12″. It is has been designed, drawn and carved by hand with hammer and chisel.
The letters have been painted in the red and blues of the ancient Roman carvings to give the impression of it being an artifact.
However, the verse is not classical but pays homage to the great music of the 1970s. Verse written by Martin Cook.
